Complaints Policy

AP Haslam wants to ensure that any complaint is dealt with courteously, effectively and in a timely fashion. 


Complaints regarding our services can be made by contacting us on us on ( email link ) or by phone at 01 453 2522.
Where our service is at fault corrective action will be taken subject to the company’s liability and ability to correct the subject of your complaint.
Please quote your Purchase Order Number to enable us to deal with your complaint. 

Delivery

Free Delivery for any purchase of €400 and above, subject to the delivery
not exceeding to a maximum weight of 29kg

Should you have an existing Trade account with us your normal arrangements will be applied to your order.
Details of your delivery (lead time & any delivery charges) will be confirmed within 24 hours after your order has been processed.
All ex stock items will be dispatched the next working day except Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Any orders received on Friday will be confirmed and dispatched on the following Monday.
You should expect your delivery within 1/3 working days of placing your order.
Carriage charges will vary for international or non-domestic orders, depending on weight and size.

If you do not have a Trade account contact our sales office to find out what the carriage will cost you before you place the order. 
Delivery charges will vary depending on the size, weight and quantity of your order and may be charged separately.

* For items over 2m in length a handling surcharge of €10 per parcel will apply.

AP Haslam Link Exchange Policy

The practise of exchanging links is quite common and usually beneficial for the ranking in search engines. A proposed link exchange will always be considered with care.

Before you submit your site to apply for our link exchange program, please read and comply with the following qualification and link quality requirements.

3. AP Haslam will not necessary create a reciprocal link to the organisation, which chooses to create a link to AP Haslam web site. Conversely if AP Haslam chooses to create a link to the other company’s web site, there is no obligation to create a reciprocal link.

  • Entities involved in credit checking and anti-fraud activities.  
We also require our processors, to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party processors to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.  

Some of the third parties mentioned above, for example many professional advisers and Revenue Commissioners, are controllers who, like us, are subject to specific obligations under data protection law, and who will have their own privacy notices setting out how they deal with personal data.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. Processors we appoint will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.  

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.  

7. DATA RETENTION 

How long will you use my personal data for? 
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.  

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax & audit purposes.

This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to enable us to deal with your request or to speed up our response.  

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or we have received a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

These are to ensure that we carry out your instructions accurately, for training purposes and to improve our services, and to ensure security and prevent fraud. For the greater security of our customers and staff, and to prevent and detect crime, we use CCTV in and around our premises.

Returns

We sell only branded products from the best known and most trusted manufacturers. As far as is possible, every item is checked at the time of picking and packing.

What to do with Faulty, Damaged or Unwanted Items

In the event that goods have been incorrectly picked or damaged in transit, we of course apologise sincerely and kindly ask that you notify us within two days of receipt of goods. Goods must be returned with the original packaging.
You may call us on 00353-1-4532522 or email us from the 'Contact Us' page. Please give your order reference number and a brief description of the fault.
We will arrange collection via our carrier and will also of course, send you a replacement item as soon as possible. With regret, we cannot accept claims after this period. 

Unwanted or Incorrectly Ordered Items

Customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered.
This only applies to unopened items in their original, sealed packaging.
Customers must return unwanted goods at their own cost using a 'signed for' carrier service. We are unable to exchange or refund after these seven days, or if the goods have been used or removed from their original packaging, or if the goods are in a non-saleable condition.
Upon inspection the sale will be credited in full less any applicable returns charges. If returned within 7 days, the initial carriage charge will also be credited.
Please note that returned 'Special Order Items' may incur a handling charge depending upon the manufacturers terms. This may be as much as 40% of the original invoiced amount from some manufacturers, so please check and confirm all specifications before ordering.

All refunds will be processed within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

The Website may include links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.

6.1  All copyright, trade marks and all other intellectual property rights in the Website and its content (including without limitation the Website design, text, graphics and all software and source codes connected with the Website) are owned by or licensed to Aphaslam.ie or otherwise used by Aphaslam.ie as permitted by law.

None of the content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed without the prior written consent of the copyright holder. 7.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed so as to exclude or limit the liability of AP Haslam Ltd for death or personal injury as a result of the negligence of AP Haslam Ltd or that of its employees or agents.

8. REFUSAL OF SERVICE

AP Haslam Ltd reserves the right to refuse supply of any goods to any person or any company for any reason.

9. PRICES

Whilst every endeavour is made to ensure prices are correct AP Haslam Ltd reserves the right not to supply goods, which are found to be incorrectly priced. In this event you may reconfirm the order upon price amendment or cancel the order and receive a full refund.

10. AVAILABILITY AND DELIVERY

AP Haslam shall not be liable for any loss arising from items being out of stock, or arising from problems with delivery including late, incomplete or damaged items. Claims for incomplete or damaged items must be made, in writing via email within three days of delivery.

11. RETURNS

By law, customers in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. This only applies to unopened items in their original, sealed packaging.

When you place an order to purchase a product from Aphaslam.ie, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product, which is accepted by us when we dispatch that product to you.

13. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold AP Haslam Ltd and its employees and agents harmless from and against all liabilities, legal fees, damages, losses, costs and other expenses in relation to any claims or actions brought against AP Haslam Ltd arising out of any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website.

14. SEVERANCE

If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

15. FORCE MAJEURE

AP Haslam Ltd shall not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, short fall of manufacturer, strike, lock outs or other industrial action, difficulties in obtaining labour or parts, government or other restriction or regulations or other event beyond the reasonable control of AP Haslam Ltd.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Republic of Ireland and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
